Today’s tradgedy is another example of how crazy this world is. We are constantly surrounded by people who have hit the bottom with no clue when they will break and how they will handle it. My heart and prayers go out to those innocent people and their families. And friends, instead of trying to justify this act, trying to find motives or blaming religion and our president (yeah, comments I’ve seen), take the time to turn to your loved ones and express how you feel as often as possible. Do not take advantage of their presence.

It took 22 years for me to meet that person that gave me butterflies non-stop, passionate kisses that made my foot pop up and always made me laugh/smile, present or not. Unfortunately, what we had was a lie from the start and I was played pretty hard. I wish someone would have said something but to be honest, at that point, if someone tried I wouldn’t have listened. I tend to learn my lessons the hardest way possible in life. I don’t know when I will be over this but I’m working towards it each day. I’m a strong believer in karma and that each person you meet is either a blessing or a lesson. The new year is approaching, I will still be up to my same and new tricks but I’m ready to start that new chapter going into 2013. I hope you all work towards dropping your grudges and starting this new year off with the clean slate it deserves.

There was a special bond between my uncle and I.. I had a VHS of Mariah performing to a small crowd, very intimate setting. I watched that video so much by myself and with my uncle. He loved Mariah Carey, he was convinced they were meant to be together. When he was getting to the harder parts of his sickness, he could no longer talk. We used to visit him in the hospital almost every day, I used to jump into the hospital bed just to be closer to him. We would watch this video over and over. The emotion on his face when she would sing was so amazing.. he even loved when I would sing along. Hero was his favorite song.. He was my hero and still is. This song kills me every time I hear it. I miss him so much..
